When a guest sends an inquiry for a treatment program at Tree of Life, they receive a no-obligation booking offer by email. This booking offer includes the price, any special promotions, and the date until which the requested accommodation will be reserved for the guest.
A booking only becomes binding once the deposit stated in the booking offer has been received by bank transfer in the account specified in the offer.
After that, the guest receives a booking confirmation by email, confirming and reserving the treatment program. The guest also receives a form to submit their final travel details. If the length of stay changes compared to the original offer, the booking confirmation will be updated automatically and sent again with the corrected invoice amount.
The remaining balance shown in the booking confirmation only needs to be paid by bank transfer one week (7 days) before arrival. Finally, the guest receives a final invoice and a medical history form by email.
By prior arrangement, the remaining balance can also be paid by credit card or in cash at reception. Additional fees may apply.
Once a deposit has been paid, the treatment booking remains flexible as long as availability allows. Accommodation types and travel dates can still be adjusted later at the guest’s request. This service is free of charge.
If a guest is unable to travel on the planned date, the stay can be rescheduled free of charge within 18 months from the date of the original offer. The new preferred arrival date remains secured, although it is possible that a specific accommodation type may no longer be available at the new time. In that case, the booking will be adjusted to another accommodation type.
If the travel date moves from high season to low season, or vice versa, the valid base price for that season will be adjusted according to the seasonal rate that applied at the time of booking. This means guests can secure the applicable conditions through an early deposit.
If a guest can no longer or no longer wishes to travel, the paid treatment booking may be transferred or given as a giftunder the originally booked conditions. The new guest can then choose a new travel period within 18 months from the date of the original offer, under the same conditions.
Even if the treatment program is not started, no further costs will be charged. No cancellation fees apply under any circumstances. Only the payments already made will be retained. These payments are non-refundable.
If a guest decides after arrival to shorten the treatment program or spend some days outside the clinic, the missed treatment days that have already been paid for cannot be refunded or transferred.
Please note that you need a visa to enter Sri Lanka. The nearest airport is Colombo (CMB). From there, the journey to the resort takes approximately 1.5 to 2.5 hours, depending on traffic, using our shuttle service.
If a shuttle service has been booked, the driver will wait in the airport pickup area at CMB. The driver will carry a sign with the guest’s name and the Tree of Life logo for identification. The pickup area must be passed when leaving the airport, so it is not possible to miss the driver. Please wait in the pickup area and do not leave the airport, otherwise you may miss the driver.
At Tree of Life, we do not calculate by nights, but by treatment days, because our services are provided per day rather than per night. Whether a day counts and is charged as a treatment day depends on the arrival and departure time. We are generous in this regard and only charge full treatment days. A day counts as a treatment day if the guest arrives before 3:00 pm or departs after 11:00 am.
A last-minute booking gap arises when an accommodation unit remains available for a certain period between two confirmed bookings. Since we want to use our accommodation as efficiently as possible, we offer these gaps at reduced prices. These special offers can be requested through the respective offer shown on the website.
The booking process for such a last-minute offer is identical to the normal booking process. However, the special offer can only be used for the exact period stated, because the booking gap only exists during that time. The special conditions therefore apply only to that specific period.
If a guest is unable to use a last-minute booking after having already paid the deposit or even the full amount, the money does not expire, and no cancellation fees apply here either. The amount already paid can simply be credited toward a later booking. However, payments already made cannot be refunded.
As a rule, vouchers of any kind cannot be combined.
If you have received an email voucher for referring new guests, it is only valid if the referred person is actually a new guest, meaning they have not previously submitted a booking inquiry with us.
Accommodation upgrade vouchers are valid if a deposit has been made for a new treatment booking during the period for which the voucher was issued.

To protect our European bank details from misuse, please take the bank details for your payment transfers from your booking offer or booking confirmation. You will find them in the bottom left corner of the document.
All services for our guests begin from Colombo International Airport.
Transfers are generally carried out using our own vehicles and drivers. Passengers are insured exclusively in accordance with the insurance conditions valid in Sri Lanka. Any private liability of the hotel is expressly excluded.
Our liability for treatment guests extends only to the grounds of the clinic/resort.
Excursions are undertaken at the guest’s own responsibility, even if they are organized by the clinic/resort. The same applies to transfers between the airport and the clinic/resort.
Guests who have been prescribed medication in their home country may only stop or reduce it if they have received confirmation from a doctor trained in conventional medicine.
Recommendations made by our Ayurveda doctors do not remove the guest’s own personal responsibility.
If a guest has a significant health condition, this must be communicated clearly to our doctors, as it may mean that certain therapies cannot be carried out or certain medicines cannot be administered. Please therefore complete our medical history form carefully and accurately.
If outpatient or inpatient medical treatment becomes necessary during the stay—also in the case of an accident—the resort does not cover the resulting costs.
We strongly recommend taking out international travel health insurance and accident insurance.
Any complaints must be reported to management immediately on site, preferably also in writing. Later complaints can no longer be accepted.

At Tree of Life, we rely exclusively on natural, carefully selected, and traditionally proven substances, administered as part of individual treatments by qualified Ayurveda doctors. The good tolerability of these preparations, together with our many years of experience, forms the basis of a holistic and safe treatment concept.
Please note, however, that every person is unique and may react individually to treatments or natural substances. Despite the greatest care and professional supervision, unexpected reactions or physical changes cannot be completely ruled out in rare cases.
For this reason, we do not accept liability for any reactions, intolerances, or resulting incidents of any kind that may occur in connection with the preparations administered or the treatments carried out. For example, we are not liable if you feel weak during the detoxification phase and are injured as a result. This disclaimer applies generally, and in particular to unforeseeable physical reactions or their possible consequences in everyday life.
Our highest priority is your wellbeing. We do everything we can to make your treatment program as safe, pleasant, and effective as possible—in close alignment with your individual condition and needs.
